FAQ
Is Golden Hour Therapy inclusive and affirming of individuals with diverse backgrounds?
As mental health therapists and clinical social workers, Golden Hour Therapy has had the privilege of working with numerous individuals with various backgrounds. We are informed by attachment theory, internal family systems, somatic theories, anti-racism, queer theories, anti-ableism and LGBTQIA+ affirmative practice. You can read more about our inclusion practices here.
Does Golden Hour Therapy accept insurance?
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans, allowing you to use your insurance for our services. Please note that we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. If you have a different insurance plan, we are considered an out-of-network provider and can provide superbills for potential reimbursement based on your plan’s out-of-network benefits. We also accept private pay. Our private pay fees, starting at $150 and varying by therapist, are designed to provide accessible and comprehensive mental health care. We value your investment in your well-being and are dedicated to supporting you on your therapeutic journey.
How do I know which therapy modality is right for me?
You can read more about our modalities here, or schedule a consultation with a therapist for more information.
Do I have a chance to meet the therapist before I decide if I want to work with them?
Yes. At Golden Hour we believe that the therapeutic journey should be highly collaborative and honor your unique experience, so we happily offer consultations to give you the opportunity to meet before making a commitment. Schedule one here.
Are appointments online or in-person?
We invite you to embrace the convenience, accessibility, and effectiveness of teletherapy with Golden Hour Therapy. Our warm and welcoming therapists are here to support you on your journey toward mental and emotional well-being.
